Abstract
A new method has been found for the synthesis of pyrazoleacetate esters fro m pyrazolaldehyde. By a new tandem reaction, in which methyl 4-pyrazoleacet ate was reacted with carbon disulfide and iodomethane, thieno[2,3-c]pyrazol e tvas synthesized. This was an easy method for the synthesis of this type of heterocycle. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
