Abstract
The conversion of triflic 3H-naphtho[2,1-b]pyrans to the corresponding pipe razine derivatives, using the combination of palladium acetate/BINAP as cat alyst is reported. Compared to the 3,3-diphenyl-3H-naphtho[2,1-b]pyran, the amino group on the 8-position of naphthopyran part induces a significant b athochromic shift of the absorption of the coloured form.
