Visual observation of multiple double layers

In this paper, we present images of plasma structures composed by concentri c plasma shells separated by successive double layers. These structures app ear in a low pressure glow discharge generated between a cavity formed anod e and the metallic walls of the vacuum chamber, The plasma properties, elec tronic temperature, and density differ at each plasma corona, and the plasm a potential presents a radial stairstep spatial profile.
