The numerical simulation of shock-tube experiments with mixtures of co
ndensing vapour is discussed. In the expansion region, the state of va
pour supersaturation causes a strong homogeneous nucleation. The heat
production clue to nucleation and condensation leads to formation of c
ondensation shock. The aim of numerical simulations is the correct pre
diction of condensation shock development, by numerical solution of Ri
emann problem for governing equations. Several numerical results are c
ompared with experimental data.
