Abstract
Two tridentate nitrogen-donor ligands, the methyltris(pyrazolyl) silanes Me Si(3,5-RR'pz)(3) (R = R' = Me; R = Bu-t, R' = Ii), have been synthesized an d the X-ray structure of the latter has been determined. The first transiti on metal derivatives of these ligands, the cationic copper( I) complexes [L Cu(NCMe)](+) (where L = MeSi(3.5-Me(2)pz)(3) or MeSi(3-Bu'pz)(3)). have bee n prepared and characterized analytically and spectroscopically.
