Characterization and mutual hydride forming element interference studies of
a flame heated holed quartz T-lube as atomization cell for HGAAS were perf
ormed. Characteristic concentrations, limits of detection and linear ranges
were determined for As, Bi, Sb and Se. Also, the mutual interferences of t
hese elements were investigated. Extended non-interferent ranges were obser
ved in most of the studied cases and such improvement was obtained at no gr
eat expense with regard to sensitivity and detection limits.
