W. Wang et Wr. Hu, Concentration distribution in solution crystal growth: effect of moving interface conditions, J CRYST GR, 203(1-2), 1999, pp. 227-233
The linear diffusion-reaction theory with finite interface kinetics is empl
oyed to describe the dissolution and the growth processes. The results show
that it is imperative to consider the effect of the moving interfaces on t
he concentration distribution at the growth interface for some cases. For s
mall aspect ratio and small gravity magnitude, the dissolution and the grow
th interfaces must be treated as the moving boundaries within an angle rang
e of 0 degrees < gamma < 50 degrees in this work. For large aspect ratio or
large gravity magnitude, the effect of the moving interfaces on the concen
tration distribution at the growth interface can be neglected except for ga
mma < - 50 degrees. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights
