Abstract
Analytical polarization transfer functions are presented for spin systems c onsisting of four spins 1/2 with arbitrary coupling constants under isotrop ic mixing conditions. In addition, simplified transfer functions were deriv ed for symmetric coupling topologies. Based on these transfer functions opt imal durations for the mixing period can be determined for correlations of interest. (C) 1999 Academic Press.
