Abstract
We study the global stability, the boundedness character, and the periodic nature of the positive solutions of the difference equation x(n+1) = alpha + x(n-1)/x(n), where alpha is an element of [0, infinity), and where the in itial conditions x(-1) and x(0) are arbitrary positive real numbers.
