Abstract
An empirical equation was recently proposed and used to characterize inhibi tory drug effects an production of an endogenous substance. The limitations of this empirical equation are described utilizing mathematical equations and simulations based on the exact differential equation for Indirect Respo nse Model I. The latter is preferable for fitting data using indirect respo nse models.
