Abstract
The integral form of the radiative transfer equation in an inhomogeneous cy lindrical medium with anisotropic scattering is derived. The medium is cons idered to have an internal space-dependent energy source and diffuse reflec ting boundary illuminated by external incidence. The integral form contains the effects of the boundary condition and the internal source. The solutio n of the integral form does not need the particular solution due to the fre e term of the integrodifferential form. Also, the integral form reduces the three independent parameters of the radiative transfer equation to only on e parameter which facilitates the solution of the equation.
