Abstract
In this note we adopt the semi-empirical laws of King and Jorgensen to mode l the angular voltage output response of a single yawed hot-wire probe plac ed in a flow perpendicular to its axis. As in our previous work, the King e xponent n is reformed into the parameter n' in an expression for orientatio n effects. The result is a model of the voltage output response, accurate t o a few per cent over the whole range of orientation angles.
