Abstract
The pressure coefficient of resistance of manganin sensors alpha = 1/R-o dR/dp was determined from isothermal pressure dependences measured at various tem peratures in the range 77-352 K in fully hydrostatic conditions using a He- gas pressure system. The pressure coefficient alpha decreases with decreasi ng temperature, reaches a minimum at about 110 K with a deviation of 5.0% f rom its room temperature value and then increases. Both below and above T a pproximate to 110 K the temperature dependence of alpha can be approximatel y treated as linear with the rate 1/alpha(298 K) d alpha(T)/dT equal to -3.80 x 10(-4) K-1 and 2.56 x 10(-4) K-1, respectively.
