Abstract
The Vicia root-micronucleus (VR-MCN) bioassay was used to determine the gen otoxicity of water samples collected from the Kui River near Xuzhou city, C hina. Results show that all water samples induced elevated MCN frequencies over background. This indicates that the river water was polluted with geno toxic material.
