Abstract
Thirty nine lines in beam-foil spectra between 750 and 2000 Angstrom have b een identified as 2s(2)2p(2)3s-2s(2)2p(2)3p and 2s(2)2p(2)3p2s(2)2p(2)3d tr ansitions in Si VIII and S X. Experimental energy levels, calculated gA val ues and branching ratios of the observed lines, obtained from semi-empirica l configuration interaction calculations, are also presented.
