The magnetic relaxation phenomenon for the Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 alloy
in the as-quenched state and after annealing is investigated. It is st
ated that the disaccommodation intensity distinctly decreases after th
e heat treatment of the sample at 673 K for 1 h due to the annealing o
ut of some free volumes. Moreover, the intensity of the disaccommodati
on drops almost to zero after the sample crystallization occurs. From
the results obtained, it becomes evident that the amorphous phase is t
he main source of the magnetic after-effect in the nanocrystalline sam
ples. The present results are discussed under the assumption that the
relaxation processes are described by a gaussian distribution in ln ta
u.
