Abstract
The characteristics of the dielectric resonator antenna top loaded by a circular conducting disk with different diameters is studied experim entally. It is found that antenna parameters such as the resonant freq uency, the input impedance, and the far-field radiation pattern, are a ffected tremendously by the conducting disk Therefore one can tune the antenna parameters by varying the disk size.
