The aim of this work is to study the asymptotic behaviour of global in
time solutions of the Vlasov-Poisson-Fokker-Planck system in three di
mensions. We consider both cases, of gravitational and electrostatic i
nteraction, but disregard friction. It is proved that the distribution
of particles tends for large times to the fundamental solution of the
linear operator, in other words the effect of the interaction potenti
al vanishes comparatively as t --> infinity. Convergence takes place i
n the L(1) norm.
