Abstract
It is argued for the hypothesis that the SDYM equations for the Moyal brack et algebra (the master equation) is in a sense a universal integrable syste m. We show how the su(N) SDYM equations, the KP equation and the integrable equations in two dimensions can be encoded in the master equation.
