Abstract
A simple, rapid procedure using mild conditions has been developed for tota l nitrogen determination in water samples (10-700 mg N l(-1)). Reduced form s of nitrogen are oxidised to nitrate by peroxodisulphate/far-UV photooxida tion. The nitrate concentration is measured with UV spectrophotometry. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
