Abstract
Charged particle activation of natural Nd2O3 With similar to 80 MeV C-12(6) results in the formation of the carrier free isotopes Dy150-153 and their daughter products Tb150-153 in the matrix. The liquid cation exchanger, HD EHP, diluted in cyclohexane and HCl were used in liquid-liquid ion exchange (LLX) as organic and aqueous phase respectively for quantitative separatio n of Dy150-153 and Tb150-153 isotopes from the bulk target matrix of neodym ium oxide.
