Abstract
Modeling supported catalysts by depositing particles on a flat, thin oxide film as the support has become a popular method to study catalysts with sur face science tools. As in industry the catalytically active material is alm ost always deposited by wet chemical impregnation procedures, it is imperat ive that model systems used in studying the surface chemistry of catalyst p reparation are prepared in this way as well. Spin coating impregnation has proven to be extremely versatile in this respect. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
