Abstract
As a more rapid and versatile synthetic approach, we have studied the FeCl3 -catalyzed hydrolytic polycondensation of suitable trichlorsilanes in a bip hasic system which yields the new octasilsesquioxane (BrCH2CH2CH2)(8)Si8O12 . (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
