Abstract
An activated carbon was prepared by pyrolysis and subsequent gasification o f mile seed utilizing the ChemChar gasification process. This carbon was ch aracterized and further utilized for the destruction of refractory organic wastes and for sequestering metal bearing wastes by the ChemChar waste dest ruction process.
