Abstract
The isolation of parthenolide-rich products from feverfew (Tanacetum parthe nium (L.) Sch.) with supercritical carbon dioxide extraction has been inves tigated. A 3(2) full-factorial design was used to map the effects of pressu re and temperature on the extraction yields and on the yield of parthenolid e. The composition of the essential oil of feverfew obtained by hydrodistil lation was compared with that of the SFE extract containing the volatile co mpounds.
