Reports about pelvic malignancy in female nonagenarians are scarce. Thirtee
n women 90 years of age and older were diagnosed with a malignant pelvic tu
mor between 1984 and 1996. The majority of these malignancies were gynecolo
gic in origin. The development of a malignant pelvic tumor was, in our expe
rience, associated with a poor prognosis. However, long-term cure after def
initive treatment, as deemed feasible, is not precluded.
