We report an unusual pregnancy with a complete hydatiform mole coexisting w
ith a normal fetus and placenta. This report stresses the importance of a c
orrect diagnosis and the dilemmas the clinician is faced with when managing
such a case.
Malignant trophoblastic disease occurs in 55% of complete hydatiform mole a
nd fetus. Two-thirds require combination chemotherapy.
