Be-8(gs) coincidences with C-12, Be-8(gs) and alpha-particles produced in t
he C-12 + C-12 interaction at 65 MeV have been measured in a wide in-plane
angular range. The 3- Be-8(gs) final state is found to be produced, even if
poor statistics prevent any identification of the O-16 states involved in
the first stage of the process. The Be-8(gs) - alpha and Be-8(gs) - C-12 co
incidence yields are found to be due to C-12 and O-16 excited states, decay
ing into the Be-8(gs) + alpha and C-12 + alpha systems, respectively.
