Abstract
An experimental work aimed at monitoring thr effects of spreading wastewate rs on agricultural fields, with special regard to the fate of heavy metals, was carried out on an olive grove in Tuscany (Italy) over a period of thre e years. Any negative effect (no evidence of heavy metal accumulation) was recorded both in soil and percolation waters as well as in plants.
