Abstract
In this paper we consider the solution of the vector wave equation by a dis crete time vector finite element method. The popular linear edge basis func tions are augmented such that the resulting capacitance matrix is diagonal, resulting in an explicit method. The accuracy and efficiency of the method is investigated via computer experiments.
