Abstract
Coupled thermo electromagnetic problems are non-linear. Therefore, the solu tion process involves an iteration algorithm, often in a block iteration sc heme. To prevent divergence and accelerate convergence a relaxation scheme his to be applied. An adaptive scheme is proposed and implemented in a coup led solver. The performance of the methods used is demonstrated at an induc tion motor simulation and an electroheat application.
