Abstract
The optics of the tower reflector central plant is analyzed and compared wi th the classical tower-top central plant for receivers working at high temp eratures (above 1100K). The tower reflector seems to be superior for large plants, while for the small plants the tower top system has better performa nce from the optical point of view.
