H. Schmidt-traub et T. Hahm, Application of computational fluid dynamics to solar thermal receiver reactor modelling, J PHYS IV, 9(P3), 1999, pp. 147-152
Modem Computational Fluid Dynamics Software (CFDS) is capable of integratin
g conductive, convective and radiative heat transfer into one single model,
The CFD-Software CFX was successfully applied to model a receiver/reactor
for high-temperature liquid-phase processes. The special characteristics of
the concentrated solar flux as well as spectral dependent material propert
ies have been implemented into the simulation. Experimental and modelling w
ork should be regarded as complementary. Experiments are needed for validat
ion and the simulations help to interpret the test results and extrapolate
to different scales, geometries and material properties.
