Abstract
The vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) isotherms were directly determined by th e ebulliometric method for the system 2-ethoxyethanol + methanol. The exper imental results were correlated by an equation of state that is capable of reproducing VLE for associating and reacting systems with an accuracy simil ar to the experiment uncertainty over a reasonable range of pressure and te mperature. Such correlations are hard to obtain with equations representing activity coefficients at specific particular isotherms.
