Abstract
N-(2-diethylaminoethyl)-4-iodobenzamide has been reported to be an excellen t agent for malignant melanoma diagnosis by SPECT. To obtain a Tc-99m analo gue, we synthesized a sodium N{2-[4-(N-diethylaminoethylcarbamoyl)phenyl]et hyl}-N-methyldithiocarbamate ligand in 7 steps from methyl 4-(bromomethyl)b enzoate. The corresponding nitridotechnetium complex formed by a ligand exc hange method was purified and its biodistribution in mice bearing the B16 m urine melanoma was determined.
