Abstract
Intramural ileocaecocolic leiomyosarcoma is described in an elderly neutere d male domestic shorthaired cat with poor appetite and weight loss. Histolo gical examination of the resected lesion revealed a poorly differentiated s oft tissue sarcoma and a diagnosis of leiomyosarcoma was confirmed by posit ive Immunohistochemical staining for vimentin and a-smooth muscle actin. Po stoperative survival time was 102 days before local recurrence justified eu thanasia.
