M. Blatny et L. Osecka, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GLOBAL SELF-ASSESSMENT AND TEMPERAMENT AND INTERPERSONAL PERSONALITY-CHARACTERISTICS, Studia psychologica, 39(1), 1997, pp. 39-44
The presented study is a follow up of our previous research in which w
e dealt with the effects of temperament on the source of global self-a
ssessment and with the relationship between partial elements of self-a
ssessment and temperament and interpersonal personality characteristic
s. The sample in the research consisted of university students (n = 18
8, 72 boys and 116 girls) and high school students (n = 428, 184 boys
and 244 girls). To test the level of personality characteristics Eysen
ck's personality questionnaire (EOD) and the Interpersonal Diagnosis T
est (ICL) were used. Rosenberg's Self-Assessment scale was used to stu
dy self-assessment. Unlike tile previous research in which we used cor
relation and variance analyses, in this one we tried to clarify the re
lationship between self-assessment and temperament and interpersonal p
ersonality characteristics using path analysis. The model of tile rela
tionship between self-assessment and personality characteristics is di
fferent for both genders. In case of bog's interpersonal characteristi
cs are represented to a greater degree.
