Abstract
We describe a previously unreported complication of the use of Guglielmi de tachable coils and Mechanical detachable spirals in endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms. We document four cases in which migration of par t of a coil into the parent artery occurred after completion of the procedu re. Possible mechanisms are discussed.
