Abstract
The effect of high Landau subbands filling on the ultrafast hot-electron ma gneto-transport transient in InSb subjected to high parallel magnetic and e lectric fields is studied. The overshoot in the electron drift velocity cal culated considering the filling of all possible high Landau subbands is sho wn to be smaller than that calculated when the extreme-quantum-limit assump tion is taken into account, and can even be precluded at small electric fie lds if the magnetic field intensity is high enough.
