Abstract
Parity violation has been studied recently for neutron resonances in Sn-117 . The neutron resonance spectroscopy is essential for the analysis of the p arity violation data. We have measured neutron resonances in Sn-117 for neu tron energies from 1 to 1500 eV using the time-of-flight method and the (n, gamma) reaction. The sample was enriched to 87.6% Sn-117. Neutron scatterin g and radiative widths were determined, and orbital angular momentum assign ments were made with a Bayesian analysis. The s-wave and p-wave strength fu nctions and average level spacings were determined. [S0556-2813(99)04403-9] .
