Abstract
A new simplified technique (citric acid method) has been adopted to synthes ize LiMn2O4, and the influence of synthesis conditions on the electrochemic al properties of the products has also been studied. The Li/Mn ratio and sy nthesis temperature are the key factors to affect the electrochemical chara cteristics of the resultant products. The LiMn2O4 synthesized with the opti mum synthesis conditions has a perfect spinel structure and shows excellent performance. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
