Abstract
For polyacetylenes synthesized by the interphase dehydrochlorination Of pol y(vinyl chloride), the electric conductivity of the pyrolysis products was studied. It was found that; for crystalline polyacetylene, the conductivity of the pyrolysis products is higher, compared amorphous polymer. Applicati on of uniaxial stress leads, to an increase in the conductivity of polyacet ylene pyrolysis products. The largest change in conductivity is observed fo r pyrolyzates of crystal polyacetylene with a high packing density of cryst als. At a fixed stress, the. dependence of specific conductivity on the tem perature of polymer treatment exhibits an extremum. Upon stress application the concentration of paramagnetic centers in pyrolyzed samples correlates to a variation in their conductivity.
