Abstract
The kinetics of bulk polymerization of methyl methacrylate and of its copol ymerization with styrene initiated by sulfur oxychloride-organic hydroperox ide systems was studied. The kinetic and activation parameters of the polym erization process and the stage of initiation were determined. It was estab lished that initiation proceeds with participation of the chloride-hydroxyp eroxide complex (1 : 1), which is responsible for the generation of radical s initiating polymerization.
