Abstract
Experimental results of the liquid-liquid interfacial tension in the monote ctic systems Al-Pb and Al-In will be presented. In the Al-Pb system measure ments were taken between the monotectic temperature (T-M = 659 degrees C) a nd 920 degrees C, in the Al-In system over the whole range of the miscibili ty gap. In addition, experimental values for both systems will be compared to calculations using different models. A summary of experimental and theor etical results of different monotectic systems investigated so far by us wi ll be given.
