Abstract
Compound (1), 3-(3-pyridyl)-4-p-tolyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole-5(4H)-thione, C14H11 N3OS, and compound (2), 3-(2-pyridyl)-4-propyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole-5(4H)-thion e, C10H11N3OS, both contain planar oxadiazole rings. The C=S distance is 1. 614(3) Angstrom in compound (1) and 1.634 (1) Angstrom in compound (2).
