Abstract
This article addresses the place of MR imaging in the diagnosis of kne e injuries. MR imaging of subtle fractures and bone contusions is desc ribed with emphasis placed on those types of fractures frequently asso ciated with specific patterns of soft tissue injury. Soft tissue injur ies are divided into ligamentous, meniscal, and muscular; each is disc ussed separately. The MR imaging appearance of these lesions is explai ned.
