Abstract
Kinematical observations have been made with the Manchester Echelle Spectro meter combined with the San Pedro Martir telescope of the various features of the strange planetary nebula IC 4593. In particular the outer knots are shown to be inert and extended high-speed flows are found to be emerging fr om the nebular core. Various models for the whole structure are discussed i n the face of these new observations.
