Abstract
5-(3'-Hydroxyphenyl)pentanoic acid (1) and 5-(3'-methoxyphenyl)pentanoic ac id (2) occurring in the roots of Athyrium yokoscense showed transport activ ity to alkaline and alkaline earth metal ions and heavy divalent metal ions .
