Abstract
The various techniques available for the analysis of nonlinear systems subjected to random excitations are briefly introduced and an overvie w of the progress which has been made in this area of research is pres ented. The discussion is mainly focused on the basis, scope and limita tions of the solution techniques and not on specific applications.
