Abstract
This is a review of the electrophysiologic changes occurring at different t imes following myocardial infarction, both in the infarcted region (substra te) and in areas remote from the infarct. Regulators of channel function wh ich might contribute to re-modeling, including autocrine/paracrine factors involved in ion channel gene regulation, are discussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier S cience B.V.
